The good thing about this extension is that it makes this issue very easy to solve. This extension will let you keep track of who is present and who is not in a Google Meet.
All you have to do is install this on your browser. With this, you will be able to find all the names of all the attendees in your meetings in the Google Meet People panel. You will also be able to find the total student count and see the meeting details such as the course instructor and date and time.
